Jeremy Simon

Jeremy is a Hydrologic Data Specialist at CIGLR, where he works with CIGLR’s Yi Hong, PhD, and NOAA-GLERL’s Lauren Fry, PhD, to model runoff across the Laurentian Great Lakes basin and its subsequent effects on lake levels. His work focuses on improving water level forecasting and advancing our understanding of Great Lakes dynamics.

Prior to joining CIGLR, Jeremy was a fellow with the U.S. Forest Service Rocky Mountain Research Station, where he applied machine learning techniques to population forecasting and habitat assessment. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Colorado College in 2024.
