David Raikow is an aquatic ecologist for the Pacific Island Network of the National Park Service’s Inventory and Monitoring Division. Dr. Raikow’s work takes him to sites on the islands of Hawaii, Maui, Molokai, American Samoa, Guam, and Saipan, where he regularly tests the water quality of streams, groundwater, and anchialine pools (a landlocked body of water with a subterranean connection to the ocean).
