Lucas Vanderbilt is part of the HABs monitoring team and works with S. Rao Chaganti, PhD. Vanderbilt manages the genomic parameters for both Western Lake Erie and Saginaw Bay, Lake Huron. Outside of HABs monitoring, he is working on a number of other projects using genomics to investigate the ecological impact of invasive species, improve the forecast of toxin production, and further understand lower food web dynamics.
