Aaron Bartlett is an Atmospheric Science Research Specialist contributing to CIGLR’s efforts to advance lake-atmosphere modeling in the Great Lakes region.

In collaboration with Abby Hutson, PhD, Aaron is helping develop a two-way coupled lake-air model. His work involves downscaling global climate data to improve the Great Lakes WRF-based Regional Climate Model and testing various methods of coupling lake models with the regional atmospheric model.

In collaboration with Yi Hong, PhD, Aaron is analyzing vertical flux outputs from the GLCFS models and comparing them with observations from the Great Lakes Evaporation Network (GLEN). This work supports the processing and publication of evaporation data from observation sites on Lakes Erie and Huron.
