Sophie Orendorf is a data analyst at CIGLR working with multiple teams under the supervision of Dr. Ayumi Fujisaki-Manome. Sophie will be working for Drs. Lauren Fry and Yi Hong on the hydrology team to acquire and analyze data to improve sub-seasonal to annual forecasts for the Great Lakes. Additionally, Sophie will also work on QA/QC of winter ice and current profile measurements for Drs. Jia Wang, Dmitry Beletsky, and Nathan Hawley. Prior to working at CIGLR, Sophie researched convective windstorms in a future climate using the pseudo-global warming method.
