Tongyao is working with CIGLR scientist Casey Godwin and the GLERL Ecosystems Dynamics team. Tongyao’s current project is focused on dynamic energy budget modeling for quagga mussels (Dreissena) in lake systems. Her background is in Environmental Science, Ocean Science, and Limnology and she has worked on lake hydrodynamics, redox chemistry, ocean overturning mechanisms, and paddy soil remediation. Tongyao is very interested in using numbers and equations to describe and predict our complex environmental systems.
