Riley is a Biogeochemistry Laboratory Analyst performing nutrient analyses for the University of Michigan’s Cooperative Institute for Great Lakes Research (CIGLR) and NOAA’s Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory (GLERL). She works closely with Casey Godwin, PhD, and Teige O’Brien (CIGLR Biogeochemical Laboratory Analyst). Prior to joining CIGLR, Riley studied nutrient biogeochemical cycling on Alaska’s North Slope, focusing on changes driven by permafrost thaw.
