Real-Time Research

Real-Time Research provides quick and easy access to experimental NOAA research products that CIGLR is developing with our partners at the NOAA Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory (GLERL). These pages include simplified and mobile-friendly views of monitoring data and forecasts that are designed to meet the information needs of the general public. Access to complete product information housed on the NOAA GLERL website is provided on each page.

All products are experimental, which means that research teams are actively evaluating their performance and making adjustments as needed to improve accuracy and usability. Once the products meet standards of reliability and usefulness, they are transitioned into an operationalized product hosted by another NOAA office with increased staff and user support.
